Scott Kelby on his blog has had for the last few weeks guest writers post every Wednesday. Vincent Versace’s post is fantastic.

I’ve heard Vincent Versace on a few different podcasts speak about being taken by your photos, so it’s an idea that’s been bouncing around in my head for some time now. This photo here though really drove the point home.

I met Naomi and the kids at the Children’s museum Thursday afternoon. I’ve been thinking about color theory lately, and put two color wheels on my iPhone so I can have a refference for complimentary colors. Looking up at the underside of Dale Chihuly’s exhibit I tried to pick out colors that matched well.

These photos were good; interesting shapes and colors but somewhat academic. When I looked down though and saw the reflections in the floor I was reminded of an image that a fellow flickr user recently posted (I looked but couldn’t find it). Now this was interesting. As I framed a shot a group of kids ran through, this is the photo that I got.

Reviewing the image on the LCD was powerful. I knew I had something special. I took more images like this one, if I get a chance I’ll try to post a few. I don’t think any carry the weight that this one does though.
