The Light at the End

The Light at the End
I’ve worked quite a bit lately and haven’t had a whole lot of time for being creative. This rush has mostly come to an end though, it’s very nice to take a breath.

I’ve had the idea for this photo above bouncing around for a week or two and have just had the time to try it. I’m teaching again on flash lighting at the camera club and wanted to oil the gears. As well as covering some more of the basics at the club I’d like to talk about the ideas of making light that is interesting, believable, and flattering. It’s what I was going for in this photo, but wanted the cozy fire in the background to read more as a fire instead of the simple abstract that it is here. I’m pretty beat though and didn’t really have it in me to push it further.
