Noticing – September 14, 2012
Today’s images are from a visit to Englewood on the near east side of Indy yesterday. I went to go make some pictures for Pattern’s September meetup, which will be about capturing the style and story of Indy’s urban neighborhoods.
The Englewood Christian Church on Rural is quite a complex, with a full gym, rooftop hockey rink, a beehive, and a huge mural depicting the amusement park that used to be at the end of the rail line on Washington and Rural.
Brent, Mary, and Joe Bowling are all involved in the rehabilitation of the Englewood neighborhood. What I love most about photography: Having interesting conversations with great people while making good images. Doesn’t get better.
