Noticing – September 3, 2012
Four days from now is First Friday here in Indy, and this month the M10 Studio is showing work by Pulitzer Prize winning photographer William Foley. Bill came by the studio this morning to drop off his work, and I asked if I could grab a portrait while he was there.
Bill’s work is fantastic and looks great up on the walls. If you’re able, come by the studio on Friday for a great show. We’ve got details for the event over on Facebook.
Technical details for this one: This is a 35mm prime at F2 on a full frame camera. Lighting is a combination of ambient (F2, 1/80th, and ISO 200), and an SB900 with a Lumiquest Softbox III (triggered by an SU800). I gelled the SB900 with a full CTO, but should have gone with green to better match the fluorescent ambient light. In Lightroom 4 I needed to paint in just a bit of magenta on the background to remove some of the green.
