Slideshow – Rain Garden
Rain, finally. It’s been a hot, dry summer. We had two perfect storms last evening and this, plenty of rain with the sun to follow. I grabbed my camera, a macro lens, and my sound recorder and made this:
Rain Garden from Paul D'Andrea on Vimeo.
This was quite a fun little project. I’ve never mixed down sound before, so cleaning, mixing, and matching multiple tracks of drips and bug noise was an interesting challenge. Let me know if the sound works or not. Too loud, not loud enough, hard to tell what it is?
I’m really excited about the possibilities in these slideshows and sounds. So many directions to explore…

Beautiful Paul! It’s so soothing I want to turn it on when I hit the sack tonight ;)
I do prefer the landscape orientation better than portrait for this kind of thing; I feel like I am way more immersed in the image when it fills the screen. Just a thought for you. Keep up the good work!
Paul
Great thought on the portrait orientation, Rocky. Thanks.

Great series, Paul. The rain fall is a great compliment to the visuals. I shouldn’t have drank that liter of water.
I like the zooming feature of the photos better the left and right motion.
Some very soft music might compliment the rainfall nicely.
