“Photography is about light.” It’s a common phrase heard often in photography circles. I (politely) disagree. Photographs should be about the same things paintings are about, which is to say not paint.
Photographs should be about curiosity and emotion and story. About moments that would be lost to frail memory if it wasn’t for the photographer and his machine.
But then there’s today’s image, which really is just about the light.
